Kendall Schmidt (voiceover): Last week… (clips of week 7) Everything that was unexpected happened. Sandra had a wardrobe malfunction, Reese and Valerie had a dispute, Tom and Kym won the Jitterbug marathon, and Peta was called a chicken.

Brittany Brannon (voiceover): But the real shock didn’t happen until Rihanna and Zac Efron were eliminated (clip of eliminations). This week… (training clips shown) All 8 of our surprising survivors will dance once for two sets of scores. After such an unexpected week, are we in for another now? LIVE! This is Dancing with the Stars!

The opening sequence starts. Hank is first shown picking up Edyta. Sandra then does an elegant spin with Derek. Steve jokes around with Chelsie. Cher does a fierce pose while Maksim looks on. Zooey and Damian do a sexy, demure pose. Zac and Peta do a large jump. Tina fools around with Louis. Tom casually holds Kym. Hugh gives Karina a close look. Gaga does a vampire-esque pose on Dmitry. Logan does a secret handshake with Jeanine. Lil' Wayne holds Nicole under his legs. Lee does a ballroom pose with Corky. Katy and Mark spin around, jumping. Rihanna and Val go close to each others mouths. Arnold almost uses Cheryl as a weight. Cody does a dynamic, fun pose with Julianne. Curtis performs a New Yorker with Anna. Oprah giggles around with Alec. Reese and Tony close in a smooth pose. The DWTSGame logo is shown.

Brittany and Kendall run onto the stage.

Kendall: Hello and welcome to Dancing with the Stars! I'm Kendall Schmidt.
Brittany: And I'm Brittany Brannon!
Kendall: Welcome back, Brit! How was Miss Universe?
Brittany: Thank you! It was incredibly fun to go visit my pageant sisters, and congrats to Leila Lopes on Angola, who is now officially the prettiest woman in the world! But enough about that, let’s meet the couples!

The stars walk down the stairs in this order:  Steve Carell, Hank Baskett, Tom Hanks, Tina Fey, Reese Witherspoon, Cher, Katy Perry, and Sandra Bullock.

Kendall: Ah! It seems like only yesterday when we had a fresh field of 20 contestants on this stage. Where did the time go?
Brittany: We are getting closer and closer to the final! But it is Week 8, and we must live in the present. Who's dancing first, Kendall?
Kendall: Our first star tonight is the woman who’s Paso Doble caused a stir when she started it by dancing in a cage. Are we in for another surprise tonight? Its singer Katy Perry and her partner Mark Ballas!

In Katy's VT, she is in shock by last week’s elimination as she is a good friend of Rihanna and was very sad to see her go. But this week is a new and crucial week. Katy MUST impress.

Voiceover:
Dancing the Foxtrot, Katy Perry and her partner Mark Ballas.

Katy is wearing an orange dress, Mark is wearing a suit with a brown tie. The reason: the song reminds Katy of Reece's Peanut Butter Cups. They dance to “Build Me Up Buttercup” by The Foundations. Once finished they run to Brittany.

Brittany: Awesome, guys! Let's see what our judges thought.
Len: Well Katy, I think you need to brush up on your technique (small boos) but it was great fun.
Bruno: I kind of agree… You are an angel to watch but your technique needs more to make it heavenly.
Valerie: Yes, you are great fun to watch but after eight weeks I still get the feel that it's quite wooden (small boos).
Carrie Ann: I absolutely loved it! (large cheers) The whole dance was fantastic, through and through. It was so cute, I kept imagining Mark as a teddy bear during it though… maybe it’s the tie (audience laughs).

Brittany: Okay, over you go to Kendall.

The couple runs to Kendall.

Kendall: Great comments, congrats for still being here! Let’s get your technical scores first.

Will the judges please reveal their technical scores?

Carrie Ann Inaba: 10 (large cheers)

Brittany: Thanks Kendall. Our next star is the man who scored the second 40 of the season last week with his “dark” Waltz. Can lightning strike him twice? Its NFL star Hank Baskett and his partner Edyta Sliwinska!

In Hank's VT, he is so shocked for 2 reasons. One: that he scored a perfect 40 last week. Two: that his celebrity partner from Week 5 (Rihanna) is now gone. But it’s a new week and a new dance. He wants to include someone special in his next dance.

Voiceover: Dancing the Jive, Hank Baskett and his partner Edyta Sliwinska.

Hank is on stage with none other than his wife, Kendra Wilkinson (DWTS 12 contestant). They slow dance together for a few seconds. When the song changes tune Kendra goes to sit down and Edyta (who is wearing a grey outfit) starts to dance with Hank (who is in a white dress shirt). Coincidentally, the song they are dancing to is “Brand New Girlfriend” by Steve Holy. Once finished they Jive to Brittany.

Brittany: Awesome, guys! Let's get the comments.
Carrie Ann: You did a great job. I was very impressed and I'm starting to feel a connection.
Len: Well, those who start up high always peak… and I'm afraid this is your peak. (boos) It happened to Rihanna last week!
Bruno: Len! I really enjoyed it. No, it wasn't perfect, but it was impressive. (cheers)
Valerie: You just seem dull. There was no fun with it. You can be as technical as you want but performance-wise, nuh-uh. (large boos)

In Tina's VT, she's very excited about her new routine. Her and Louis do a bunch of arm moves and Tina “attempts” to do the splits.

In Sandra's VT, she hopes to impress in her newest dance, the Foxtrot. She also says that she is afraid her next outfit will fall off like it did last week. Costume designer, Randall Christensen, assures her that her dress will not break. Sandra is now feeling better and ready to do her “thang”.

Voiceover: Dancing the Foxtrot, Sandra Bullock and her partner Derek Hough.

Sandra is wearing her hair in an up-do and has on a black dress. Derek has a suit with a red tie on. They dance to “Some Kind Of Wonderful” by Grand Funk Railroad. Once finished they walk gracefully to Brittany.
