Week 2: Waltz: Goodbye Yellow Brick Road - Elton John: 24
Lee's Journey
Popular with the Daytime TV fanbase and the older viewers, Lee was an anticipated star of Season 4. Host Brittany Brannon stated that "watching her will be like watching me dance 55 years from now". Meriwether stated that she was glad that she finally accepted the offer to be a contestant, ensuring that her age would not bring her down a bit.
In Week 2, Lee and Corky danced a Waltz to "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" by Elton John. This was Ballas's second season doing his first dance to a Waltz by a song from Elton John. The dance pleasantly surprised the judges, but only scored 24 out of 40, landing Lee and Corky in eight place on the judges leaderboard for the night, tying with Tina Fey. Many were shocked as Lee and Corky landed in the bottom-two later that week. Even more were shocked as she was the first woman sent home.
