Reese Witherspoon
Laura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon (born March 22, 1976) is an American actress and film producer. Witherspoon landed her first feature role as the female lead in the film The Man in the Moon in 1991; later that year she made her television acting debut, in the cable movie Wildflower. In 1996, Witherspoon appeared in Freeway and followed that appearance with roles in three major 1998 films: Overnight Delivery, Pleasantville, and Twilight. The following year, Witherspoon appeared in the critically acclaimed Election, which earned her a Golden Globe nomination.
2001 marked her career's turning point with the breakout role as "Elle Woods" in the box office hit Legally Blonde, and in 2002 she starred in Sweet Home Alabama, which became her biggest commercial film success to date. 2003 saw her return as lead actress and executive producer of Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde. In 2005, Witherspoon received worldwide attention and praise for her portrayal of June Carter Cash in Walk the Line, which earned her an Academy Award, Golden Globe, BAFTA, and Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role.
Witherspoon married actor and Cruel Intentions co-star Ryan Phillippe in 1999; they have two children, Ava and Deacon. The couple separated at the end of 2006 and divorced in October 2007. Witherspoon married her second husband, talent agent Jim Toth, in 2011. Witherspoon owns a production company, Type A Films, and she is actively involved in children's and women's advocacy organizations. She serves on the board of the Children's Defense Fund (CDF) and was named Global Ambassador of Avon Products in 2007, serving as honorary chair of the charitable Avon Foundation. Driton Dovolani (born July 17, 1973) is an Albanian American professional ballroom dancer, instructor and judge based in New York City. He is known for his involvement in the American version of Dancing with the Stars on ABC. Dovolani also portrayed a Latin bad boy in the hit film Shall We Dance? and spent time coaching actress Jennifer Lopez. When not dancing, he enjoys spending time at home with his wife, daughters and son.

Reese's Journey
Controversey surrounded Witherspoon when it was announced that her partner was Tony Dovolani, the winner of the previous season and runner-up of the season before that. Critics argued that the DWTSGame producers were giving him too many shots at winning, which Witherspoon disagreed to. "Tony's got a lot of work cut out for him this season." Witherspoon testified.
In Week 2, Reese and Tony danced a Waltz to "Open Arms" by Journey. The dance recieved good comments, although Witherspoon's shakiness showed. The dance was awarded 26 out of 40, landing Reese and Tony in fifth place on the judges leaderboard for the night, tying with Lady Gaga.
Week 3 saw a slight improvement for Reese. Reese and Tony danced a Jive to "Perfect Day" by Hoku (the song which open's Witherspoon's film Legally Blonde). The dance got very good comments, and scored 29 points, which is 3 points better than Reese's previous score, landing Reese and Tony in eighth place for the night, tied with Cher and Zooey Deschanel.
In Week 4, Reese and Tony danced a Viennese Waltz to "Keep Holding On" by Avril Lavigne. The judges praised Reese for truly exposing her elegance in such a fine way. The dance was awarded two 10's and recieved an overall score of 38 points, dramatically boosting Reese and Tony's scores and landing them in third place for the night.
During Week 5, Reese ditched Tony to dance a Cha-Cha-Cha to "Trouble", by P!nk, with Cody Simpson, as part of the Partner Ditch Week. Season 20 quarterfinalist Amy Adams guest judged the dance and gave it a 10. They also danced a team dance Jive to "The Middle" by Jimmy Eats World. This time it was scored by Adam Levine, who gave the dance a 9. Reese scored a total of 67 out of 80 for the night.
For Week 6, Reese and Tony danced an Argentine Tango to "Mi Confesion" by Gotan Project. The dance put Reese back in the competition and scored a 10 from guest judge Max Gao and a 36 total, landing Reese and Tony in a 3-way tie for second place.
In Week 7, Reese and Tony danced a Salsa to "Sussudio" by Phil Collins. Judge Valerie and Reese got into it after saying that Reese would not be able to win the season. It got 35 points, regardless. They also danced in a Jitterbug Marathon to "In The Mood" by Glenn Miller. They were the second couple voted out and were awarded an extra 2 points, giving them a total of 37 out of 50 for the night. Reese landed in the bottom-three this week, only to be saved by the shocking eliminations of Rihanna and Zac Efron.
For Week 8, Reese and Tony danced a Quickstep to "Who Knew" by P!nk. The judges had nothing too special to say about the dance. They scored a 33 for technique and a 35 for performance for a total of 68 out of 80. Sadly, Reese and Tony were eliminated later this week. Reese was in tears by the end.
