Brittany Brannon (voiceover): Tonight... Our fourteenth couple is forced to end their dancing journey. (more clips shown) What on earth will happen? LIVE! This is... Dancing with the Stars!
Brittany: Hello, and Welcome to Dancing with the Stars! I'm Brittany Brannon.
Kendall: And I'm Kendall Schmidt.
Brittany: On Wednesday night, our stars all danced twice, with four of them in a row receiving perfect scores!
Kendall: Also from Wednesday, Steve and Tina both really impressed the judges with their ballroom dances... But were then let down with their latin dances, with a certain judge getting a little out of hand (shot of Valerie, who laughs).
Brittany: Tonight, we must again say goodbye to another promising star. At this point, we've gotten to know everyone really well. Any elimination is a real shame!
Kendall: We also have special musical guests Hall & Oates stopping by twice with two of their classics!
Brittany: Ooh! I love them! (audience laughs) But now, let's get to the encore performance!
Len: Well, this young woman absolutely amazed all of us and really proved herself with a fun tribute to the late Amy Winehouse. It should come as no shock that we want Katy and Mark back to dance again! (HUGE applause from audience)
Kendall: Finally! Please welcome back Katy and Mark with their Cha-Cha-Cha! (applause continues)
Mark has his black dress shirt on. Katy is wearing her small black dress and her hair in a black beehive with blond streaks. They dance to Amy Winehouse's Rehab. Once finished, they get a Standing O.
Brittany: Now, Katy's performance wasn't the only highlight from Wednesday's episode. We also saw all six of our other contestants dance twice!
Kendall: Now, if you didn't catch our episode on Wednesday, here's a little montage of what you missed out on. Take a look...
A montage/recap of all of the dances from Week 10 are played. A leaderboard recap is also played. Confessionals start playing (with our stars after their second dances).
Tom: (breathing heavily) Whew! I hope that paid off! If not, I'm just gonna pass out!
Tina: I don't understand it. I'm trying so hard. It's ridiculous that I do so much work for my end result is called 'tacky' and 'monstrous'. Since when the *bleep* is that positive criticism? (exhales in anger)
Cher: (going crazy) Whoo-hoo! Ten Ten Ten Ten! Yeah baby!
Sandra: I feel so weird after being called a 'dirty girl'. I'm fine with being a naughty girl, but being a dirty girl sounds so filthy! (audience laughs)
Steve: I honestly don't care how the Rumba was reviewed. I honestly knew it was going to be criticised. All I cared about was finishing my shout-out to the guys at The Office!
Katy: (twiddling bee-hive wig with finger) I think we did something right! I'm so glad I got this song. RIP Amy. We all miss and love you!
Confessionals end
Brittany: Now, in no apparent order, let's reveal the first two couples who have been saved with the help of your votes, and one that has landed in the bottom-three.
Dramatic elimination theme music plays
Brittany: The first couple safe to dance next week is... (camera pan the couples) ...Katy and Mark! (cheers; Katy screams)
Kendall: The next couple safe to dance is... (camera pans couples) ...Sandra and Derek! (cheers; Sandra hugs Derek)
Brittany: Now, sadly, we must reveal the first couple in the bottom-two. That couple is... (camera pans couples) Oh no! Steve and Chelsie. (boos; Steve is bummed)
Regular lighting returns
Kendall: Right now we have our very special musical guests here to sing a classic! Ladies and Gentlement, please welcome... Hall and Oates! (major cheers)
Hall & Oates perform "You Make My Dreams Come True" while Anna and Corky and Chelsie and Mark dance to it. When they're done, Kendall and Brittany walk up to them on stage.
Brittany: Would you guys do the honors of making these important announcements?
Daryl: Me first! Next week, on October 8th, the cast of the fifth season of the DWTSGame will be announced during the results show, along with the three winners of the Guest Judging Contest.
John: And for the first time on the DWTSGame, DanceCenter returns with Season 45's Daunte Culpepper, Season 20's Richard Petty, and Head Judge Len Goodman. Man, I'm gonna have to TiVo that! (audience laughs)
Kendall: Thanks, you guys! Can hardly wait 'till your next song!
Brittany: Right now, we want to show you a video of our fourth judge, Valerie, and what her comments have been sparking. Take a look...
VT plays. We look back at the many over-the-top comments Judge Valerie has made over the past month alone. We cut to a street-walker survey with Kendall asking viewers what they think about Valerie's comments. Unsurprisingly, most of them say that they are 'very rude and unpleasant at times'. We then cut to a pre-taped intervention between Brittany and Valerie.
Valerie: Yes. I know I stir up controversey, but if I don't, who will? It keeps the show interesting.
Brittany: (soft chuckles) Well, I think you know that some of them are just mean and not very helpful at all. Why do you make controversey, as you've said, instead of helping the stars?
Valerie: Hmm... That's a good question. I don't know. I guess I just feel that the other three judges pretty much cover all the areas of improvement by the time I get to my comment. I guess the harsh words are just to motivate them to do better the next time.
Brittany: I see. But, take Tina and her Rumba's for instance. Last week, she did one and you told her "you hated it". She then came back this week to do another, and then you told her "it was tacky". I guess I don't understand where the motivation is coming from. Can you elaborate?
Valerie: You're right. When you say them like that, they are pretty mean. I just think that both times Tina and Louis have danced the Rumba, there have been a good amount of flaws in their performances.
Brittany: OK, but doesn't something along the lines of "you could improve on..." or "Work harder with..." sound a lot nicer than something really insensitive and mean? I, personally, would feel horrible about myself if I got such a bad review for my dance. I know the current stars probably feel that way.
Valerie: I think you're right. I apologize.
Brittany: OK. I just wanted to make sure we were clear with what 'criticism' and 'bullying' was. Now, I have been told by the producers that you are being allowed two personal weeks off. Is that alright with you?
Valerie: Really? I wasn't aware. I will if they allow me! (laughs)
Brittany: Alright! Thanks for sitting down and thank you for being open to resolving this.
Cher: I honestly was still too in shock from the perfect score I just got to care. I think this week had many amazing dances and to represent this week by landing in first place is a real honor. (audience cheers)
Kendall: Great job, Cher. You've done truly amazing! Now, Tina, you just saw the video. Do you think the term 'motivation' justifies Valerie's comment to you?
Tina: Absolutely not. They were rude and snarky comments and I can understand it when I get one of them here and there, but when you keep coming back to the same mean attitude from one mean judge... What's the point? Brittany hit the nail on the head. It's not motivational. It's exactly the opposite. I think Valerie needs to really watch her criticisms, as they've obviously gotten very hurtful (audience applauds).
Kendall: I completely understand, Tina. Well, Let's go out to Kendall for some more results. Brittany?
Kendall: (now with Brittany) Now, as you can see, we have 2 couples left up here, 2 spots left in the competition, and 1 spot left in the bottom-two. We will now call the name of the last couple that is safe from elimination. And they are... (camera pans Cher and Tina) ...Cher and Maksim! (cheers; Cher is upset for Tina)
Brittany: Which means Tina and Louis will join Steve and Chelsie in the bottom-two. (audience boos; Tina is grinning)
Hall & Oates sing "Rich Girl". Karina and Val do some fun choreography to the song.
Kendall: No, no. The elimination. Steve and Chelsie and Tina and Louis have found themselves in the bottom-two after this week, combining your votes with the judges scores.
Brittany: Before we start the elimination, who do the judges think should go? Carrie Ann, what if Steve were to go home?
Carrie Ann: Brittany! Don't even say that! It's too hard to imagine. If Steve were to go home, the place wouldn't be the same. He brings such energy to the show and honestly is a good dancer. It'd be a shame to loose him (audience cheers quietly, Steve grins).
Kendall: Valerie, what would happen if we lost Tina and Louis?
Valerie: First off, Tina I don't mean any disrespect to you. I'm sorry you feel so strongly about my comments. When I return, I'm going to do something different. With that being said, without Tina Fey... the DWTSGame would be a little less cheerful. She is so funny and always gives it her best shot, which I commend her for. (audience cheers quietly; Tina nods with Valerie)
Dramatic elimination music plays
Kendall: (camera goes to Steve) Steve and Chelsie. Steve, this week saw your best scores of the season with a crazy Tango that the judges loved... But add a Rumba that didn't go over to well, and you land near the bottom of the leaderboard. Will the audience give you another chance to win them over?
Brittany: (camera goes to Tina) Tina and Louis. Tina, after your emotional Viennese Waltz, you danced a Rumba which didn't do the best. After escaping the bottom-two for nine weeks, has fate finally caught up with you?
Kendall: (camera pans Steve and Tina) Steve and Chelsie... Tina and Louis... On this tenth week of competition, the couple with the lowest overall total and therefore leaving right now is...
Elimination music plays and camera pans in
Kendall: Tina and Louis. (audience boos and gives Tina a Standing O)
Brittany: Which means Steve and Chelsie, you're safe. (Steve and Tina have a tough time saying goodbye, as do Chelsie and Louis)
Brittany: Oh my god, Tina. You were such a fighter this season and you truly amazed us all. What are your final thoughts from the show?
Tina: Brittany, I am so glad I took the time to do this show. It has honestly been the most memorable experience of my life. I met so many people, impacted so many new fans, accomplished a ton of things, and done what I consider impossible. And I am going to miss this adorable little man, right here! (starts tearing up as she hugs Louis)
Kendall: Louis, I bet I can guess that Tina has been your favorite partner. What were your thoughts of the season?
Louis: This, hands-down, has been my most favorite season ever. Tina is such a kind, caring, loveable, outgoing, and funny woman with extraordinary drive. We've gotten to know each other so well that I no longer feel like her partner, but a friend for life. I can't begin to explain how much I will miss dancing with her! (Tina and Louis are both emotional now and hug; audience gives them another standing ovation)
Kendall: We will also find out who the first of two guest judges is.
Brittany: For now, I'm Brittany Brannon.
Kendall: And for now, I'm Kendall Schmidt!
Brittany: Good night and thank you for watching!
