Zac Efron
Zachary David Alexander Efron (born October 18, 1987) is an American actor, singer, and dancer. He began acting professionally in the early 2000s, and became known to young audiences after his roles in the Disney Channel Original Movie High School Musical, the WB series Summerland, and the 2007 film version of the Broadway musical Hairspray. In 2007, before the release of High School Musical 2, Rolling Stone declared him the "poster boy for tweenyboppers" and featured him in their late August 2007 issue. Efron has since starred in the films 17 Again, Me and Orson Welles, and Charlie St. Cloud, and is due to star in New Year's Eve and The Lucky One.
Peta Murgatroyd
Peta Murgatroyd was born in Auckland, New Zealand and raised in Perth, Western Australia. She currently resides in Los Angeles, where she continues to dance and has embarked on a career in television.
After achieving her life long goal of being on Broadway, she ended her stage career in January 2010 to pursue a career in film and television. Peta has performed regularly on the hit shows Dancing With The Stars in Australia and America and So You Think You Can Dance in Australia and Holland. She has choreographed and performed with great artists Heart, Rod Stewart, Taio Cruz, Enrique Iglesias. She toured with the ballroom dancing company Ballroom With A Twist, in 2010 for their Canadian tour.

Zac's Journey
Zac's involvement with the popular High School Musical films drew controversy as critics believed he was a dead ringer for the competition. Zac liked the attention and just laughed it off.
In Week 1, Zac and Peta danced a Salsa to "Amor Para Mi" by Cuco Valoy. Sure enough, the dance was recieved with mostly positive reviews (garnering two 8s and two 6s from the judges) and scored 28 out of 40, landing him in third on the night's leaderboard and tying him with Tom Hanks.
During Week 3, Zac and Peta danced a Quickstep to "Our Time Now" by the Plain White T's. The dance did greatly with the judges, and scored 34 points (the highest scoring Quickstep of the night), landing Zac and Peta in third place again, behind Hank Baskett and Tom Hanks.
In Week 4, things heated up as Zac and Peta danced a Rumba to "Teardrops On My Guitar" by Taylor Swift. The girls in the audience were screaming and fanning themselves as Zac finally showed his sexy side. The dance recieved a 10 from judge Carrie Ann and scored 37 points overall, landing Zac and Peta in a tie for fourth place with Tom Hanks and Hank Baskett.
During Week 5, Zac ditched Peta to dance a Rumba to "Good Life", by OneRepublic, with Zooey Deschanel, as part of the Partner Ditch Week. Season 20 runner-up Brittany Brannon guest judged the dance and gave it a 10. They also danced a team dance Jive to "The Middle" by Jimmy Eats World. This time it was scored by Adam Levine, who gave the dance a 9. Zac scored a total of 72 out of 80 for the night.
For Week 6, Zac and Peta danced an Argentine Tango to "A Los Amigos" from Forever Tango. The dance was very well reviewd. It scored 37 total points, landing Zac and Peta in a 3-way tie for second place. Zac and Peta were later honored with the encore for their Argentine Tango.
In Week 7, Zac and Peta danced a Jive to "What I Want" by Autopilot Off. The judges loved the dance, although Len Goodman called Peta a chicken for her outfit. They awarded it 36 points. They also danced in a Jitterbug Marathon to "In The Mood" by Glenn Miller. They were the third couple voted out and were awarded an extra 3 points, giving them a total of 39 out of 50 for the night. Zac and Peta were eliminated this week, along with the shocking elimination of Rihanna.
